About the author:
Palmer Smith is a current English MA student at UVA and MFA student at Sewanee. She has written for Refresh Magazine, The Online Journal for Person-Centered Dermatology, Sea Maven Magazine, Calm Down Magazine, level:deepsouth, The Remington Review, and The Scissortail Quarterly, amongst many others. Her poetry has been praised by Garden and Gun, amongst many others.

Smith's debut collection consists of 80 poems and several short stories. It is a meditation on miscommunication, childhood, Northeastern vs. Southern American culture, family, nature vs. technology, and the imagination of the introvert.
